How to make a centerpiece .. Monkey theme ~ 1st birthday ..

Monkey here, monkey there, monkey everywhere!! LOL ...

My son's 1st birthday is coming up and his theme is that of a cute monkey.  Everyone calls him chunky monkey, so that's where my inspiration came from.  I just finished doing his monkey centerpieces and I decided to share with you all.

Please see below step by step instructions on HOW TO MAKE A CENTERPIECE.  The beauty of my centerpieces is that they were made out of his SIMILAC cans!!!  How cute is that!!?

 Monkey Theme Centerpiece

This was my son's similan can!



   



cut gift tissue paper in smaller pieces

and cut diamond shape at

the ends







fold gift tissue paper in triangular
shapes and glue alternting colors




Add the chenille stems to the stick



curl chenille stems around
a pencil




hot glue your design on
both sides of the stick



add curling ribbon and VOLA!!!
YOU ARE DONE!!







Baking for my monkey's birthday

My chunky monkey birthday is around the corner, and I have to get on the roll with the baking.  Today I am baking sugar cookies for my little monkey ....  :o)

Working on a fabulous PINK Thanksgiving ...

I don't why, but I feel like having fun this Thanksgiving.  Who said that Thanksgiving had to only be in neutral colors and oranges?

I think I want to try something CHIC ... I want to have a non traditional Thanksgiving.  I know for sure my husband and the four boys I have in this household will definately oppose!! LOL ... but, I think on this one, I have the upper hand ... :o)

So, I am thinking, pink pumpkins, pink corn .... etc.  Don't forget to check back in to see my PINK Thanksgiving!  Love ya!

Halloween was too much fun!! Check out the baby cow, two princess, 50's doll, karate kid and a pirate.

We all truly had a blast last night.  We started our fun the night before with our decorating, I must say all the kids were super excited.  Then Halloween came and I started with some baking and my hubby with the cooking.  Our first special guest was Avrie, with her cuteness as a princess.  Then we had a special moment with Patty and Avrie.  Then the karate kid and the 50s doll showed up.. lol.  We took some pics of the kids munching at my goodies and then we head out trick or treating in my block... yay

and the oven is hot, the cupcakes are in and then is the fun part!!  I looove decorating cupcakes!!  check out later today for pictures of our (my kids will help me) masterpiece .. yay!!!  My inspiration will come from my son's cow prints costume!  lol

I will also post all of our halloween pictures!  You will see a cow, a princess, a maid, a playboy bunny (that's me ~~ hehehehee) and who knows what else!!!  get ready to get spoooooked!!
